HOW TO BECOME ONE
To become a Biomedical engineer, you typically need a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from an accredited program. Or, they can get a bachelor's in another field of engineering and then get a graduates degree for biomedical engineering, or get on-the-job training. To lead a research team, biomedical engineers require a graduate degree. Some biomedical engineers even go to dental school or medical school for more specializations. Some get law degrees and work as patent attorneys. I chose to get a Masters of Science Degree to increase the likeliness of finding a job. Others tend to get Ph. Ds.
COLLEGE COURSES
Recommended college courses for those aspiring to become biomedical engineers include several science courses such as chemistry, physics, and biology. Math courses such as calculus is also useful to take. And courses in drafting and mechanical drawing, and computer engineering can also be very useful.
