Work Environment
WHERE I PLAN ON WORKING
Depending on their specialty or designated area, Biomedical engineers work in a variety of settings. Some work in hospitals for therapeutic purposes while others work in laboratories doing research. Others may even work in manufacturing settings to help design biomedical equipment and engineer different tools. Some even work in commercial settings to make business decisions based on their bio-engineering knowledge. BMEs usually work a normal, full-time schedule but they also work additional hours now and then. I plan on getting a job at The Department of Biomedical Engineering in the College of Engineering at Penn State, or at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center where there are multiple job openings.
